Yes, it is, absoultely. Even I, as a student, can feel it when I try to find a part time job.

As for working adults, I suppose one problem is the wages people expect, and the kind and duration of experience employers want employees to have in certain job positions for those in the workforce.

Yea, but thanks to that, people are all looking to more creative ways!

Like entrepreneurship and online shops! (i LOVE!)

But, right now I am a private tutor. This line seems to be never ending supply of jobs Razz

P.S: natalie, I think if you are interested, you can try. Or PM me for contacts to the agency I signed up with Smile

yep of cos, parents look at your O levels lor and what specialisation you took in Poly?

Most important I feel is that you must be able to commit to do what you started (meaning, dont halfway drop the student or keep missing lessons)

of cos other things like being honest and punctual are PLUS PLUS PLUS ! Wink

If you want more of my experience and opinion or perhaps contacts for agencies that I sign up with, you can let me know too Wink

We also have to compete with foreigners nowadays. Not only people from China. Malaysia, Philippines and other countries also. These foreigners are willing to take super low wages. They don't only compete with us for jobs. They compete with us for everything! MRT space, bus space, tables at eateries etc. Tough luck! Mad What has our country become?! And not to mention China hookers, "massage parlours" etc... so-called foreign talent huh...
